Christa Gschweitl studied law at the Universities of Graz and Vienna. After her court practice, she worked as an associate for a law firm specialized in real estate law and then for a firm specialized in procurement law and general commercial law.
In 2003, she passed her bar exam summa cum laude and joined the Chamber of Architects and Chartered Engineering for Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland as a legal advisor on procurement law issues. Later, in 2005, she set up a new department for procurement law at ÖBB-Infrastruktur (Bau) AG and successfully managed the division before she joined the team of Benn-Ibler Rechtsanwälte as Senior Associate in November 2011.
Christa Gschweitl authored many publications in a number of legal journals such as RPA, ZVB and ecolex and, among other things, she is also co-author of the Commentary on the Federal Procurement Act (Bundesvergabegesetz 2006). Moreover, she regularly lectures on procurement law issues, is a member of the Procurement Committee of the Austrian Standards Institute and a former member of the Conciliation Board of Lower Austria for public contracts.
She specializes in procurement law, (construction) contract law and real estate law. Christa is fluent in German and English.
