Rainer Schüch was educated at the University of Vienna and the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and obtained a Master degree (2002), a LL.M. (2003) and a Juris Doctor degree (2007) in law. He took his bar exam in 2007 and is a member of the Society for Academic and Scientific Research in IT Law and the European Forum Alpbach. Before joining Benn-Ibler, he was a Senior Associate in the Finance & Projects team of an international law firm.
Rainer Schüch focuses on the development and financing of investment projects with a particular focus on the energy and infrastructure sector in the CEE and SEE region. He has advised on several private equity projects concerning wind parks, PV and other forms of renewable energy, whereas his know-how encompasses the whole project process including project structuring, regulatory issues, project agreements and project finance. With a background in Computer Law and a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law, he also specialises in Data Protection and IP/IT Law.
